Hobré was looking for a technology partner with whom they could establish a relationship based on transparency, direct communication and agile approach. They needed a partner that would blend in as seamlessly as possible, learn the intricacies of their highly specialised products and act as their own software development team.
When HTEC Group got introduced to the project, our teams first focused on gaining domain expertise and understanding the science behind the complex and versatile mission-specific analytical devices in order to be able to develop complete software solutions that will support full control of these devices.
Our team relied on their previous expertise in the development of software for high tech instrumentation and science tech which enabled them to quickly pick up the requirements and translate them into a product within a limited budget and timeframe. The client felt secure and in control, as our teams provided transparency, strong engineering aptitude across technologies, good communication and flexibility.
One of the biggest challenges lay in taking over the previous development company’s documentation and creating a transparent workflow and source code that our partner can follow and control.
Another one was maintaining legacy systems of the older analyzer devices.
In the product discovery phase, our engineers talked to Hobré’s scientists, internalizing their domain expertise every step of the way and translating it into a successful prototype.
Our team on this project is small but extremely efficient. So far, we have collaborated with the client in diverse areas of technology engineering — from maintaining legacy systems for older analyzers to developing new analyzer software solutions, features and prototypes which Hobré teams now use for beta testing with their clients.
On top of the many software solutions we have developed for different Hobré devices, we’re also developing a POC for hardware that will be used for cost reduction in analyzers.
Relying on our previous experience working with niche high tech companies, we have managed to dive quickly into the domain of our client and understand their requirements.
The client was happy that they were able to take back control over their software and hardware development, communication with the extended team and delivery, as well as with HTEC’s engineers’ willingness to invest their brain power into complicated scientific processes in order to be able to deliver precise solutions within a limited timeframe and budget.
