Portable ECG monitoring solution, Humeds, is launching its new app this week. With several new features and a completely redesigned user interface, Humeds now makes the recording of ECG signals even easier and getting an expert opinion a lot quicker.
The new app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices, brings a whole new user experience and interface. Real-time recording, History, and Messages are just a click away, while a swipe to the right shows a side menu with all the useful shortcuts. ECG real-time recording now works in a more convenient, user-friendly, portrait mode. History has a new and refreshed look, and there are improvements in the ECG Details Overview as well. Connecting new members with one user account is also made easier, which further facilitates managing of all recordings and accompanying expert opinions.
Combining the latest in IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, Humeds successfully identifies signals that lead to the identification of 99% of all arrhythmias. With the new sophisticated messaging, the app keeps both members and medical professionals up to date automatically. The app allows ECG recording even when there is no internet connection, which means that users can save their signal locally, and upload and send it to their doctor later. Once the recording is delivered, the chosen heart specialist can within minutes send their expert opinion back to the user.
In collaboration with HTEC, Humeds Inc. created Humeds Cardea-3, a portable ECG monitoring device which uses dry electrodes to track abnormal heart rhythms and arrhythmias. The device can share the obtained information with a medical expert and, through continuous use, catch patient’s symptoms early, and prevent complications. Unlike regular ECG monitors, Humeds can fit any pocket and could be used on any occasion by both children and the elderly.
