Reshaping the Future of Health: HTEC Group at ViVE 2022

Attention all healthcare experts, enthusiasts, game-changers, and knowledge seekers! It’s ViVE 2022 time!

…We are excited to share that two of our colleagues, Sava Marinkovich and Andrew McGee, will join this year’s conference together with a group of top thought leaders shaping tech-enabled healthcare and addressing key issues in digital health innovation. This is a great opportunity for us to interact with many high-powered keynote speakers and focus groups and learn from innovative business leaders who are reshaping healthcare and technology.

About the conference

ViVE is the industry’s new health information technology event focused on the business of healthcare systems. Across many topics, in 100+ sessions, ViVE’s program will generate transformative ideas in a setting designed to inspire.

What are this year’s hottest topics?

This year, we will have a chance to learn from the most innovative business leaders who are driving digital health innovation on a wide array of topics. They will be taking the stage to share insights on how the healthcare landscape is changing through the perspectives of Policy reform, Voice & AI, Value-based care, Continuity of care, Cybersecurity and so much more.

We asked Sava to share his perspectives on the hottest trends he would like to hear more about during the conference:

The speed of change is having a ground-breaking impact on health, and there is a window of opportunity in the coming 3-4 years to leverage the power of technology to transform it. Events like ViVE open doors to a world of innovations, inspiring minds, and invaluable insights into how technology can help advance healthcare for future generations. Today’s technology and transformation dialogues are crucial to keep up with the latest trends that will reshape health as we know it.

Among so many thought-provoking topics, I anticipate three agenda themes will have an outsized impact:

Extreme Makeover: Care Continuum Edition

The vertical and horizontal integration brings growth and new value propositions but requires heavy commitment and the ability to think and anticipate how health will function. If every organization chases a digital transformation, redundant efforts and unintended consequences are bound to happen. This wasted effort and inability to build relevant or scalable platforms might lead to a poorer patient treatment or safety and practitioner effectiveness. More subversively, it may strain the supply of engineers, designers, and data scientists, creating in effect the digital health equivalent of today’s automobile semiconductor chip shortage: long wait times to build everything.

Solving for X: The Access Equation

The way people enter healthcare is dramatically changing with the growing energy and enthusiasm that started at HLTH back in October 2021. How you enter the health system, whether it’s through primary care, the pharmacy, a clinic, or remotely via telemedicine, has a dramatic impact on how costs and quality of care will be delivered. Everyone is chasing to be the first point of contact when it comes to people’s health. However, the truth is that they should be shifting their focus on earlier stages of people’s lives before they even need healthcare and, therefore, prevent the undesired outcomes. Lights, Camera, Action: Home Care Takes Center Stage

Home health models have advanced rapidly due to the Covid-19. 75% of adults would prefer to have their healthcare needs met at home without having to go to a clinic or hospital. This implies that the tools that are present at home should be dramatically changed to both initiate and maintain care. Even hospitals are considering the home to be a “remote hospital bed” and gearing to a new paradigm. The question is: How to build this?

Let’s talk! See you at ViVE 2022!

Sava and Andrew would love to connect and bounce back ideas on the above-mentioned topics – Sava loves a good thought challenge and to hear your perspective as these insights would help him for his health tech mapping that is soon to be published.

Even if you are not planning or cannot attend the conference for some reason, we would like to hear your thoughts on the topics listed above. Pick a virtual slot and reach out to our Sava and Andrew to discuss the hottest trends, topics that caught your attention or maybe open some new ones. We are all ears!
